There has always been a certain amount of mechanical repairs associated with collision repair over the past years. Arnold’s was able to complete the non-internal engine parts replacement and repair when the need arose. In the past five years, the complexity of a production vehicle sold to the public has become extremely complex. The advent of multiple computers controlling safety systems (seat belts and airbags) was the beginning.
Today, a new vehicle has a tremendous number of computers, telematic communication systems, collision-avoidance systems, drivability and performance modules that make our vehicle efficient and protect the passengers. As a result of this additional complexity, that is still increasing, Arnold’s opened a mechanical division. Our ASE Certified mechanic is skilled and has the expertise to do his part to return your vehicle to pre-accident condition. As this part of Arnold’s business grows, we are also able to do full-service mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance to our customers’ vehicles. This can be done while their vehicle is “in-shop” for collision repairs and can also be scheduled for mechanical work by itself. We are proud to be able to offer mechanical service to our customers maintaining the same reputation of quality as we have for collision repair over the past 49 years.
